Scope of Position

Assist in maintaining company’s Regulatory Compliance by conducting surveillance, audits, and technical assessments to ensure compliance with Part-145 regulations, safety, and airworthiness standards. The role includes liaising with regulatory authorities, customer representatives, and internal stakeholders to address compliance issues while supporting the implementation of corrective actions. Proactive approach to monitoring, reporting, and resolving compliance issues.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake tasks related to safety and airworthiness requirements as assigned by Team Leader, Regulatory Compliance. Report status and file reports on assigned tasks to his office.
• Perform surveillance on SAE engineering and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with requirements, procedures and standards so that quality of the product is maintained in an airworthiness state. Raise Surveillance/Audits reports and issue Non-Compliance Report (NCR) to Area Owners for corrective and remedial actions to be accomplished within the agreed time frame.
• Perform audits inclusive of verification of corrective and preventive actions taken by responsible Managers on recent quality audit reports and ‘Open’ NCRs. Report status and file reports on assigned tasks to his office.
• Liaise with national aviation authorities and customer quality representatives on matters related to compliance with airworthiness requirements.
• Address customer quality concerns and ensure regulatory compliance expectations are met.
• Assist in maintaining the Company’s Approval, Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and other associated procedures in alignment with regulatory updates. Ensure proper documentation control and submission processes are followed.
• Conduct oral assessment as a Quality Testing Officer (QTO) to assess qualified personnel for issuance of company authorization /approval. Report to Team Leader, Regulatory Compliance on issues related to qualifying of personnel. Recommend competent candidates for the issue or renewal of personnel Company Authorization / Approval.
• Assist in evaluation and recommend to HOQ dispositions on request for deviation from approved procedures. Prepare the Quality Department Quality Notices.
• Carry out Assessment of Suppliers / Repair Facilities / Sub-Contractors for SAE and provide recommendation.
• Assist in analysing non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Support the Technical Investigation whenever required and monitor the PPS process to identify root causes of non-conformance.
• Conducts capability assessments and process validations.
• Work collaboratively with other domains and provide technical support to enhance regulatory compliance.
• Assess compliance trends and recommend effective solutions. Identify opportunities for improvement of the Quality, Safety and compliance processes.
• Adhering to health and safety practices in workplace.

Background Education & Experience

       Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related fields such as Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or holding Aircraft Maintenance License.

       Minimum Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation, preferably in a Part-145 organization.
   

 Other Qualifications/Skills:

      Essential

• Strong collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and customer quality representatives.
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail capabilities.

      Desirable

• Proficient in regulatory compliance, audit processes, and reporting.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of EASA/NAA Part-145 and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in safety and quality management tools like SMS and QMS software.

Scope of Position

The Senior Technician Workshop - Radome manages a team of technicians, ensuring high safety and quality standards for component/aircraft tasks. They ensure proper resources, equipment, and safety measures are in place, while distributing tasks and maintaining teamwork. They track man-hours, handle administrative duties, and ensure up-to-date records. They certify maintenance tasks, issue Authorised Release Certifications (ARC), and ensure documentation meets standards. Specific responsibilities include overseeing Radome repairs, inspections, and modifications, monitoring materials and tools, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, and maintaining a clean workshop environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of workshop technicians and to ensure work carried out on component/aircraft with the highest safety and quality standards.
• Ensure the availability of safety equipment and observe all safety measures whilst working on the component/aircraft and within SAE facilities.
• Supervise level 1 technicians and vendors by ensuring work carried out with the highest safety and quality standards set by company with human factor element.
• Ensure completion of component tasks or checks within the time period allocated.
• Ensure tasks are evenly and equally distributed to team members and to instill teamwork at all times.
• Ensure all equipment and resources required for the task are available and report any shortcomings to Team Leader and/or Team Coordinator.
• Ensure good housekeeping and general upkeep, including equipment and company assets are maintained at the working area at all times.
• Be responsible for KPI man-hours collection, record accurately and distribution to affected parties/departments.
• Carry out administrative functions for his/her respective shop technicians such as to upkeep staff attendance, annual leave, over time, and medical records and initiate action or non-conformance.
• Assist Team Leader and/or Team Coordinator to ensure Airbus AOS is up to date daily.
   

Approval Holder Specific Function & Responsibility

• Certify component/aircraft maintenance tasks within his/her scope of approval. 
• Ensure all documents are properly certified without discrepancy, to enable smooth delivery of component check packages to the customer.
• Issuance of Authorised Release Certification (ARC) for an aircraft component/parts as per scope limited in SAE Capability List.
• Ensure all approved documents released from the section follow the standard procedure and meet customer and authority requirements.
• To ensure his/her company approval is current and up to date.
   

Specific Function & Responsibility

• Ability to interpret and perform fundamental Radome repair with reference to maintenance data inclusive SB,EO, technical drawing and etc.
• Carry out inspection, repair, overhaul and modification of component Radome for stand-alone component and support aircraft operations maintenance.
• Carry out daily monitoring on control of expiry for material/consumable and calibration tools/equipment in Workshop Radome.
• Ability to identify essential Radome materials, tooling/equipment and the availability.
• Proficient in using essentials tools and equipment for Radome repair.
• Assist Approval Holder for ensuring Radome maintenance task to be performed IAW approved data/manual and documented accordingly.
• Carry out monitoring for proper housekeeping & update workshop daily form at Workshop Radome working area.
• Ability to raise tech request and provide essentials information to tech services.
